I figured I'd ought to show everyone that all artists start somewhere. You can buy all the books and take all the classes, but the most important thing is time and patience. I am not kidding when I say I draw every single day. I go through sketchbooks like they were yesterday's news. And this is from the day I could hold a pencil so basically all of my twenty years of life and I haven't even got to where I want to be with my art.
And you never stop learning. The artists' curse is that they are never happy with their work. I know I'm far from happy with my work, and I think I always will be. I'm may be good, but I know I'm not as good as I could be.It sucks, but for those determined enough, it allows them to push through and progress constantly. Don't let it defeat you, but make you stronger as an artist, and one day you'll get to where you want to be...or at least almost there.
...And I think I just wanted to burn everyone's retinas. C:

Are we all going to do those Quest For Improvement things now? 'Cause I kind of missed out last time.
He looks a bit like Daffy Duck after Bugs Bunny repainted him. ;)

Wow! Actually seeing this gives me a little boost in confidence. I sometimes feel like I get in a rut with my art and I just don't improve. It's good to see stuff like this because it reminds us all that improvement is something WE can control. Thanks for sharing this!

Mind you, the feet on the two versions are different. =};-3

some char designs simply rock when they are drawn in a different style.
